Birthday Blessings

Felt like I've had a long birthday weekend. On Thursday, Karl took the day off and Cassie, Karl and I headed up to the Mournes and ended up in Castlewellan Forest Park. It was a beautiful day (by Irish standards, 10 degrees!) and the sun was shining. After a 2 hour drive down south, we had a picnic by the lake, Cassie went for several swims and we walked around the lake. 

On Saturday we had a braai (bbq)/quiz/cocktail party at our place. First guests arrive at around 3pm and the last left at midnight, so we were exhausted, but it was well worth it! I forgot to take pics :( but a friend at least had the foresight to take a pic of me about to cut my cake.

 

All things considered, its been a great birthday weekend, and I know that the year ahead is going to be filled with blessing upon blessing. Amen.
