So last Saturday night, my good friend Joanne, decided we were gonna celebrate my birthday in 3D style... dinner, drinks and dancing. We went to her home town of Ballycastle, about 30 mins from where we live. We went shopping on Thursday evening (instead of Zumba!) and bought very cheap, but very sexy dresses. I'm actually gutted that we didn't get a photo together in our new dresses. I did try a new hairdo though, like a side bun-thing...
We went to a place called the Central for the first part of the evening.
I had the MOST AMAZING chicken stack ever! Its roasted chicken on a bed of champ (an Irish version of mash), with fried onions on top and a creamy peppered sauce! YUM!!! Karl had a bacon and avo (?) burger, which was really well presented.
After dinner, Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday started playing and this cake arrived on our table. It was really very sweet (nearly cried, but didn't!).
After dinner, we gate-crashed a wedding. The girl in the pink dress and her hubby were invited to the evening do at a friends wedding (in a nightclub!?) so we all went along for a few drinks. After a few long and uncomfortable stares from the wedding guests (probably wondering who on earth we were), we moved to the Glenshesk, more commonly known as "Sin City."
And thats all I remember (just kidding!) We were home and in bed by 2am :)

The end and the beginning..
Thats a rather dramatic title! Let me explain, wait, first let me tell you about Friday evening. We actually had good fun, messed around, had dinner, and danced a bit at the end. Some of our boys got a couple of awards too :) We even had some Springbok shots.
I had beef stroganoff for dinner, with loads of salad (its my new thing!) and had this for dessert (although I only ate the fruit and some of the crunchy bit and left the rest.
The end bit of my story: I started a scarf in September last year! And only managed to finish it on Saturday evening. I kept running out of wool and my mom-in-law is the only one who knows where to get them from, so she bought me the final ball and I completed it :)
I also finally finished that sudoku ladybird puzzle. It took ages, and now I know why, there's a manufacturing error.
Gonna email them and complain and hopefully get some money back or more puzzles.
The beginning: Karl and I started the first of a series of walks yesterday. We plan to do one every Sunday. I am so unfit! We walked for about an hour and a half (mostly uphill) and I was huffing and puffing all the way. So ja, we've decided to make more of an effort and actually get out there and explore a bit more often.

Oh what a night (image heavy!)
Karl and I started cleaning up on Friday. Just general sorting and shifting and cleaning so that the house is sorted for the New Year. We had initially planned to go down the road and have a house party with the cousins. But Karl kept inviting more and more of our friends for New Years, and eventually, at around 4pm yesterday, the party was moved to our house! Luckily our house was clean! The ladies decided to have a cocktail evening, everybody brings some kind of alcohol and liquer and we just made up our own cocktails as we went. Everybody brought snacks too: I made chocolate mousse, and my mommy's awesome peppermint crisp tart (with mint aero) and some pigs in blankets.
We then got busy making the house all partyish andlit candles, set the cocktail table and prepped the glasses :
After everyone arrived, we started straight into the cocktails and snacks:

And then, on to some pizza, ordered from Karl's uncles chip shop down the road :)

And then the fun really started! With xbox kinnect zumba and dance offs, followed by mad dancing in our kitchen!

And then of course, the main event:
